Light

When we checked into the hospital, we likened this journey to a decent into a dark tunnel (Mr. Toad's Wild Ride). We knew it would be dark in the tunnel, but even though we could not see it, there was light at the end. Well... we just spotted the light! Yesterday Don was really miserable, but this morning he feels better. That is because his numbers have begun to climb. That means that Don's transplanted stem cells have "engrafted." They have found their way into Don's bone marrow and are beginning to do their job; creating new healthy cells and healing everything that the chemo damaged. The doctor tells us that the growth begins slowly, but grows exponentially. Don is looking forward to a healed GI system! Cheers everyone!
